Contract configurations
The following examples show common L-GAV contract configurations and their impact on rest days.
- L-GAV contract with rest day as NON target-reducing
- Weekly working hours: 6 hours * 7 days = 42 hours/week
- Rest day: non target-reducing
- Compensation: Calculated as 1/22 of the AHV gross salary.
- Formula: AHV gross salary / 22 = compensation for 1 unused rest day
- L-GAV contract with rest day as target-reducing
- Weekly working hours: 8.4 hours * 7 days = 58.8 hours/week
- Rest days: target-reducing
- Compensation: Calculated as 1/11 of the AHV gross salary.
- Formula: AHV gross salary / 11 = compensation for 1 unused rest day
- Unused rest days: Must be paid out twice upon termination.

- L-GAV contract part-time (TZ)
- Rest days: 2 rest days per week
- Comparison full-time vs. part-time 80%:
- Full-time (VZ): 6 hours * 7 days = 42 hours/week
- Part-time 80%: 4.8 hours * 7 days = 33.6 hours/week
- Rest-day value: A rest day for a full-time employee is 6 hours; for a part-time 80% employee it is 4.8 hours.
- Working-time distribution for part-time 80%:
- Distributed over 5 days:
- 33.6 hours / 5 days = 6.72 hours/day
- Recording: 2 rest days and 5 work shifts
- Distributed over 4 days:
- 33.6 hours / 4 days = 8.4 hours/day
- Recording: 2 rest days and 4 work shifts
- Open day: Can either be left empty or entered with the absence type "Compensation".
